Kivlighan de Montebello, a third-year student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, has filed a lawsuit against the university following a one-year suspension for organizing a protest. The protest, held on September 29, targeted defense contractor RTX during a campus career fair. De Montebello, a member of Students for Justice in Palestine, claims the suspension violates his First Amendment rights.
