A shooter opened fire in a classroom at Virginia’s Old Dominion University, killing ROTC leader Lt. Col. Brandon Shah and injuring two others. The gun had an obliterated serial number, complicating tracing efforts. The shooter, Mohamed Bailor Jalloh, a former Army National Guard member with a felony conviction, was killed by ROTC students. Investigators are probing how he obtained the firearm.
